IRVD focuses its humanitarian efforts in key sectors including health, nutrition, education, protection, food security, water and sanitation, shelter and non-food items, civil society development, and the formation of strategic partnerships with major donors and international partners in the humanitarian sector. 

Job Purpose: 

The Prosthetic Limbs Technician Assistant supports the technical team in the fabrication, fitting, and maintenance of prosthetic and orthotic devices, while ensuring the proper organization, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools in accordance with technical standards and instructions. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  1. Assist the responsible technician in the fabrication and fitting of prosthetic and orthotic devices. 
  2. Assist the technical team in the maintenance of prosthetic and orthotic devices 
  3. Ensure the safety, cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of workshop equipment, tools, and machinery under the supervision of the Technical Manager. 
  4. Cooperate and coordinate with other technical and administrative staff to ensure smooth and safe workflow. 
  5. Comply with safety and protection procedures while performing duties. 
  6. Comply with the capacity-building program and the instructions of the Technical Management and Prosthetics Expert. 

 

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: 

  1. Bachelor’s or diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or a related field. 
  2. At least 2 years of experience as a Prosthetic Limbs Technician Assistant. 
  3. Experience in studying the pathological condition and training and rehabilitating the patient on the use of the limb. 
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure and within a team environment. 
  5. Good at English (oral and written)
